Who Wants to be Malaysia's Next Top...Drag Queen?
I have a really curious question today. Today lau niang wanna discuss about……drag queens.
Ehh....sorry wrong pic. Whoops.
No I’m not relating my real life here ok. Although I am born with natural gifts and I have all it takes to be a Drag Diva, I can assure you that I’m not drag in real okeh.

So my actual question is….where do drag queens stand in our country and society. You have to agree with me if I say that the general society is still very conservative when it comes to this issue. See pondan pass by only, you whisper whisper giggle giggle. Betul tak?

What concerns me most is career issues. Look at what drag queens would normally work as. Aside from the regular Pubic Relation Services, they normally work as make up artist, fashion designer, jual perfume, jual flowers, waitress…paling vogue also mak bagi kerja model lah.
BUT….never ever assume that all pondans are dumb blondes okeh. Smart and beautiful people like me also can have alternative sexual preferences tau.
But I not drag okeh. Hard to believe but its true.
So for those who drag, can they pursue their career with no unnecessary objections? Can kaum pondan work as professionals? See pondan work as lawyer or doctor before not? Or teacher even, for that matter?
Would you entrust your child to a drag teacher? Even if he/she is the best teacher around?
If you sick, you dare to jumpa doctor drag not?
Dare you hire a drag lawyer to represent you in court?
There there there….i see all the frowns and wrinkled eyebrows already. Like ulat bulu only. You see my point now? Are all drag ladies doomed to dance and sing Ning Baizura hits in night clubs and be shampoo girls in the daytime only? Even if they have the brains to do so much more?
How can we make life easier to life for everyone?

wah last post about hot asian men. now asian drag queens pulak~ ya, i do agree with you. they are more limited to certain jobs, unlike us. We still can cover cover and hide our identity.

Difficult ques to answer... maybe, just maybe, they can hv a better life outside of Maraysia? *shrug*
Humans are screwed up really. One moment they say they're not prejudice in any way. Come a drag, there goes their stand and full prejudice mode on.

And there are countless Beauty Pageants in this country... you just have to mix with the right crowd...

you need to come to brisbane. There's a society called 'Pride' that supports the gay community. They highlight professionals like gay doctors and lawyers in their monthly mag, *as it may be awkward to discuss your sexuality with a straight doctor/lawyer (for wills, legal adoption etc) without him/her raising an eyebrow*, and there's also a special task force in the police that deals with homosexual discrimination.
Think about the 'doctor' in the Sing Sing Hotel *mak lupa lah the tajuk fillm noks*, by day medical doctor, by night drag queen. like that lor.
So, I guess, there's no limitations to their 'careers', as long as they sort of have a double identity.
btw, I giggle only when they wear lime green tights under hot-pink miniskirt!

sem 1- He told us he'll be teaching us imaging and design concepts...
sem 2- He told us he'd be gone for a while, another young kid will take over his class...
sem 3- She left the college to teach only in another. I missed him... But I love her...
To be fair, if a person chooses to dress and act differently from the majority, it's only normal for the general crowd to regard them differently, non?
'I'm different but you should treat me the same'. Sadly, our society isn't that open minded.
